It is critical to eliminate the barriers for scientists to talk with editors. During this seminar, Dr. Steve Mao will describe the new initiatives at Cancer Cell and Cell Press, aimed at assisting authors in selecting the most suitable journals, navigating the publication process, and streamlining the revision procedure.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Steve Mao obtained his B.S. in Biological Sciences at the School of Life Sciences at Peking University in Beijing, China. After receiving a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Texas Southwestern, Steve completed his postdoctoral training at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Harvard University. Steve started as an editor at Cell in 2012 and then joined Science in 2017 as the molecular biology, biotechnology and synthetic biology editor. In 2020, Steve joined Cancer Cell as the Editor-in-Chief.

Steve is committed to working with the scientific community to make Cancer Cell an even greater journal. Collaborating with oncologists worldwide, he and his team aim to publish diverse clinical and translational papers, particularly first-in-human, proof-of-concept types of studies, as well as the clinical findings that provide valuable insights into basic biology.
